A variety of presentations are offered during our first-year student orientation programs. With the wealth of information being shared in one day, we have organized the information between the student and family schedules. We encourage students to share information with parents and vice versa.

A one-stop service center; learn about the variety of transactions for Registration and Records, Customer Account Services, and Student Financial Services that can take place in one location.

Band and Choir Information
Find out about band and choral opportunities like concert choir, madrigal singers, jazz ensembles, the wind ensemble, concert band and the Gold Star Marching Band. Information on the Gold Star Marching Band's Color Guard will also be presented.

Academic Information Meetings
Meet with the Dean of your student's academic college to learn about the expectations your student will be asked to meet.

Information Technology Services
Learn about IT services like email and wireless networking, how to select and prepare a computer for campus, and IT jobs on campus through Student Technology Services.

Living and Learning
Questions will be answered about living in the residence halls. For families who will have students living at home, there is a session designed especially for them.

Post Secondary Education Option (PSEO), Advanced Placement (AP) & Dual Credit
Helpful tips and reminders will be presented for students who are transferring in college-level credit.

Career Development
Learn about career services provided on campus: career planning and assessment, part-time and summer jobs, cooperative education/internships, and job search assistance for students and alumni.

Campus Involvement
Discover a variety of opportunities available to get involved in campus life, activities, and student organizations.

Student Health Service
Learn about services available at the Wallman Wellness Center, including Student Health Service and MMR immunization requirements.

Living and Learning
Learn what to expect when living in a residence hall community. For students living at home, find out about ways to stay connected on campus.

Multicultural Student Services
Consult with a staff member about services, programs, and activities aimed at providing a supportive environment for students from culturally diverse backgrounds.

Preparing to Register
Learn about general education requirements as well as how to navigate and find courses in the Campus Connection system.

Study Abroad
Discover benefits of a study abroad experience; learn about cost and use of financial aid for study abroad; find out about NDSU's exchange programs and other international study options; receive an introduction to the International Studies major.

Academic Advising and Registration
Sit down with an academic adviser for help in course selection and registration.

Disability Services
General information about the role of post-secondary Disability Services and the responsibilities of a student with a disability will be provided in this session. A question/answer format will be used to discuss the parent's changing role in the transition to higher education.

Bison Card Photos
Students will take their picture for their Bison Card, the NDSU student ID.

Student Academic Success
Gain insight to the policies and processes students use during course selection and registration.

Safety, Security and Responsibilities
Learn about actions that students and parents can take to promote a safe living community at NDSU and your student's rights and responsibilities.
