How does ACE Online Tutoring work?

ACE Online Tutoring uses Wimba software, which includes a live classroom to give students and tutors real-time interactions with video, voice and an interactive desktop to help facilitate learning at a distance. WIMBA is a free program available via Blackboard, the online classroom used by many NDSU instructors.

Students wishing to participate in online tutoring will need access to a computer with high-speed internet connection. Additionally, it is recommended that students have a webcam and a headset with a microphone to facilitate two-way video and voice conferencing. Students do NOT need to purchase any additional software, as all necessary programs are available free-of-charge.
